Negro Creek Memorial Park Sponsorship Opportunities

As our fundraising initiatives for the Early Black Settlers of N.C. Memorial Park progress, we are pleased to introduce a special bench sponsorship opportunity at the level of $1,000. This distinguished contribution will fund a memorial bench dedicated to one of the twelve Black settler families, including the bench platform, installation, and a commemorative plaque to be placed at the designated Black settler family storyboard area. The benches will provide park visitors a meaningful space to reflect on and honour those who preceded us.

We invite descendants of the early Black settler families to consider sponsoring a bench in tribute to their ancestors. Additionally, two more benches will be installed in the contemplation area off the walking trail within the natural meadow which can also be sponsored in memory of one the Black settler families name.

If you are interested in sponsoring a bench or contributing to the Memorial Park, please complete the donation form which is available at the link below.
