Negro Creek Memorial Park Sponsorship Opportunities
As our fundraising initiatives for the Early Black Settlers of Negro Creek Memorial Park progress, we are pleased to introduce a special bench sponsorship opportunity at the level of $1,000. This distinguished contribution will fund a memorial bench dedicated to one of the twelve Black settler families, including the bench platform, installation, and a commemorative plaque to be placed at the designated Black settler family storyboard area. The benches will provide park visitors a meaningful space to reflect on and honour those who preceded us.
We invite descendants of the early Black settler families to consider sponsoring a bench in tribute to their ancestors. Additionally, two more benches will be installed in the contemplation area off the walking trail within the natural meadow, which can also be sponsored in memory of one of the Black settler families’ names.
If you are interested in sponsoring a bench or contributing to the Memorial Park, please go to our Donation Page - https://negrocreek.community/donate
Note: Funds for this memorial are managed by the United Way Bruce Grey (UWBG).
All funds donated for this project will be deposited directly into our designated account and will be used solely towards Memorial Park.
To assist us in accurately honouring the early Black settler family you wish to memorialize and to confirm the desired display of your name on the plaque, please submit your information—following the example provided—on our contact page or email us at — negrocreekmemorialpark@gmail.com
