Honour the Past. Help Build the Future. Negro Creek Memorial Park Sponsorship Opportunities
As our fundraising initiatives for the Early Black Settlers of Negro Creek Memorial Park continue to move forward, we are pleased to offer two meaningful opportunities to help support the development of the Memorial Park.
$1,000 Memorial Bench Sponsorship
A $1,000 contribution will sponsor a memorial bench dedicated to one of the twelve early Black settler families who helped shape the history of Negro Creek.
Each sponsorship includes the bench, its platform, installation, and a commemorative plaque, which will be placed on the bench at the designated family storyboard area along the walking trail. These benches will provide visitors with a meaningful place to sit, reflect, and learn about the lives and contributions of those who came before us.
We especially invite descendants of the early Black settler families to consider sponsoring a bench as a lasting tribute to their ancestors.
In addition to the twelve benches located at the family storyboard areas, two additional benches will be placed in the contemplation area within the natural meadow, just off the walking trail. These benches may also be sponsored in memory of one of the twelve early Black settler families.
$100 Memorial Paver
A $100 donation sponsors a symbolic paver along the Memorial Park walking trail. Each paver represents a meaningful contribution toward the creation of the trail and provides a lasting connection between visitors and the important history being preserved at the Memorial Park.
Every contribution, large or small, helps us bring this important project to life and ensures that the history of The Early Black Settlers of Negro Creek will be remembered for generations to come.

Note: All donations to The Early Black Settlers of Negro Creek Memorial Park are securely managed by United Way Grey Bruce (UWGB). Contributions are deposited directly into the Memorial Park’s designated UWGB account and are used solely to support the development and completion of the Memorial Park.
